AMPS is used mainly in the US.
ETACS is used in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
NMT is used in Scandinavia and other European countries, also in Asia-Pacific.

network.
Some models of mobile phones may not be available from mobile phone shops
in some countries because of the different networks. If a mobile runs on
a network that is used in a particular country, then that countries shops may
not sell that model of mobile phone.
